About Our Founder
Alyeska Advisory was founded by seasoned strategist and former McKinsey & Company consultant, Ellen Scully. Since 2013, she has worked across four continents, serving 30+ clients ranging from pre-seed startups and PE-owned players to Fortune 500 companies. Her work has spanned across sectors, including Consumer & Retail, Manufacturing, Mining, Non-Profit, Outdoor Recreation, Tech, Travel & Hospitality, and Utilities.
Ellen was a thought leader in McKinsey’s travel practice, researching the latest trends in travel and hospitality and publishing a half dozen articles and reports, including pieces on customer experience in luxury hotels, customer experience in travel, and the state of loyalty in travel. She also co-founded McKinsey's relationship with Skift, the largest travel industry intelligence platform.
Prior to her five years with McKinsey & Company, Ellen was a Manager at Accenture, where she drove global technology and operations transformations, including extensive work in Mongolia, India, and Australia. Ellen earned her MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with concentrations in Strategy and Finance, and her BA from Colorado College where she double majored in Economics & Business and Political Science. She currently lives in Alaska with her husband.
